Dean of Campus Ministries
Emily serves as the Dean of Campus Ministries and Director of Christian Spiritual Formation at Messiah University. Within these roles, Emily oversees campus-wide spiritual formation opportunities, including chapel services; offers pastoral care to students; teaches in a variety of co-curricular settings; and provides leadership within the Division of Student Success and Engagement. She has also taught a 200-level course in evangelism and discipleship. Emily preaches regularly at her church and has wide-ranging professional experience in youth and young adult ministry.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity and Society from Franklin & Marshall College as well as a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. Her doctoral dissertation was titled "Rest is Not a Reward: Forming Students in Sabbath Through Scripture, Community, and Practice."Â
Outside of her formal ministry roles, Pastor Emily loves listening to podcasts, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, hanging out with her three nephews, and road-tripping with her trusty doodle, Archie.
